At El Puerto de Liverpool, we understand that the health of ecosystems is essential for the well-being of communities, the resilience of our operations, and the sustainable development of the country. As part of our “La Huella” strategy, we are beginning to generate efforts to incorporate a structured approach to identifying our relationship with biodiversity-related matters.
As part of this effort, we have started to assess our level of alignment with the framework of recommendations from the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). This initial analysis has allowed us to identify strengths in our ESG governance structure as well as key areas of opportunity to more deeply integrate nature-related topics into our strategy, risk management, and metrics.
Through an external assessment, we conducted a general evaluation of the degree of progress across each of the TNFD pillars: Governance, Strategy, Risk and Impact Management, and Metrics and Targets. Although our efforts are still at an early stage, this exercise represents a fundamental step toward strengthening our responsible approach to ecosystems.
